As an interdisciplinary narrative artist working at the intersections of time, craft, and storytelling, my work serves as both a formal and conceptual exploration of a personal struggle for control and stasis, particularly as it becomes manifested in obsession and repetition. Through animation and miniature tableaus, I am interested in representing nuanced, complex narratives which examine the ownership of action and the efficacy of personal choice within the confines of historically male-centered institutions.

Through the repetitive making of miniatures and the use of time-intensive animation methods such as stop motion and rotoscoping, I look to highlight the paradox created by the perceived control afforded to my own self-regulated, repetitive actions, both in my practice and in my life. In committing these actions over and over and over again, I ask to be noticed and to go unnoticed. To leave my mark on the world and yet create nothing new. By engaging in these labors, I become complicit to my own irrelevance, embracing the futility of my action as a way of declaring ownership over my behavior.
